Importing Customers
You can easily and quickly import your customer list into Webship Online. This saves you time when creating an order, as you don't have to enter all customer information again, but can directly select the correct customer.
To import a customer list, you need to create a CSV (comma separated values) file. You can do this by creating an Excel file and saving it as a CSV file or using this handy online tool to convert your Excel file to CSV.
Import Fields
Webship Online links the column headers from the import file to the corresponding fields in the application. So, always use the correct column headers. You can always download a template for the import file on the left of the import button in the application.

Import Settings

Once the file has been created, you can import it into Webship Online via the customer overview screen. Navigate to 'Customers' and click on the import/export icon () at the top of the list. You can choose to overwrite existing rows. This means that customer data already present in Webship Online will be overwritten.
For example, if the phone number is filled in in Webship Online but the fields under the column 'phone' are not filled in in the import file, then the phone number will disappear during import. It is therefore important to make the import file as complete as possible. If you do not check this option, only new customers will be imported. Webship Online links the data from the import file to the existing data in the application on the basis of the customer number and/or VAT number.
!> Warning: Webship Online imports only the present columns from the import file. If you do not use the column header 'phone', for example, then the phone number will not be imported or overwritten. ?>
